Immediate opening: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Dorchester County, South Carolina. The job is on a commercial construction site. You should have: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets Day-to-day duties: • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $4,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
