Now hiring: we are hiring a sheet metal press operator in Ascension Parish, Louisiana. The job is at a white goods manufacturing plant. The role involves set up and change stamping dies and tooling; load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed; check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges; deburr and stack finished components for the next operation; adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings; top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways. Requirements: • 1-2 years' experience on power or hydraulic presses • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards Full-time with occasional weekends.
