Vacancy available: we are hiring a bulldozer operator in Russell County, Alabama. You will be based at a civil contractor's yard. Requirements: • Physically fit for climbing on and off the machine • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes • Safety awareness around banksmen, trucks and other plant On a typical shift you will carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil; grease pins and bushes and check undercarriage tension daily; strip topsoil and stockpile it for later reuse; clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin; rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank; push-load motor scrapers during bulk earthmoving. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
