Join our team: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Union County, Iowa. You will be based at a busy sheet-metal workshop. What we are looking for: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight On a typical shift you will carry out 6G pipe welds where required; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Pay around $3,600 per month, based on your experience. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
