You should have: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations Your main tasks: • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour 5+ years on the tools preferred.
