Join our team: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Barnstable County, Massachusetts. The job is in a heavy engineering unit. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes You will read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
