You should have: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level On a typical shift you will set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
