Urgent requirement: brick mason (Nebraska)

Join our team: we are hiring a brick mason in Thayer County, Nebraska. The job is at a renovation and extension job. The role involves: • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder Ideal candidate: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
