Foundry labourer wanted in Sumner County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Sumner County, Kansas. You will be based at a busy iron foundry. Your main tasks: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
