Immediate opening: we are hiring a tile setter in Juneau County, Wisconsin. The job is on a new-build housing development. Day-to-day duties: • Set out mosaic sheets and trim them to fit the edges • Fit tile spacers to keep the grout joints even • Cut ceramic and porcelain tiles on a manual tile cutter • Mix tile adhesive and cement mortar to the right consistency • Level large-format tiles with a tile levelling system Requirements: • Own a basic set of tiling tools (trowels, spacers, levels) • Able to read setting-out drawings and tile layouts • Skilled with a wet saw, angle grinder and manual cutter Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $31 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
