Immediate opening: we are hiring a pressman in Mathews County, Virginia. You will be based at a dry cleaner's. Day to day you will remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching. Ideal candidate: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work Meals and transport allowance provided.
