Now hiring: we are hiring a gardener in City of Lynchburg, Virginia. The job is on the grounds of a hotel resort. Ideal candidate: • Happy to work outdoors in all weather • Valid driving licence for travel between sites • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors Day-to-day duties: • Mow and edge lawns with petrol and ride-on mowers • Plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn • Spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease • Water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines Rotating shifts.
