We are recruiting: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Douglas County, Kansas. You will work at a stainless steel fabrication shop. What we are looking for: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day Day-to-day duties: • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode Part-time with flexible hours.
