Immediate opening: we are hiring a rebar installer in Perry County, Indiana. On a typical shift you will check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. Pay around $4,900 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
