Great opportunity: moulder (New York)

Join our team: we are hiring a moulder in Schenectady County, New York. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. You should have: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Basic grinding and fettling skills On a typical shift you will apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes. 5+ years on the tools preferred. $4,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
