Safety officer wanted in LaSalle County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a safety officer in LaSalle County, Illinois. You will be based on a road and infrastructure project. You will carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; update the risk register and method statements (RAMS); check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors. You should have: • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
