Machinist wanted in South Lanarkshire

We are recruiting: we are hiring a machinist in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. What we are looking for: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance Your main tasks: • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
