Toolroom milling operator — Newberry County

Now hiring: we are hiring a toolroom milling operator in Newberry County, South Carolina. You will be based in a toolroom. Day to day you will load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence; hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm; machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing; set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines. Requirements: • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • Able to grind and set HSS cutters Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $5,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
