Heavy equipment operator — Lancaster County

Now hiring: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. You will work in an open-cast mine. The role involves work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals; level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines; keep the cab clean and complete the daily machine logbook; grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift; backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations; keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
