Your main tasks: • Complete delivery notes, CMR paperwork and proof-of-delivery • Keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load • Check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits • Secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars You should have: • Clean driving record with no recent endorsements • Current Driver CPC qualification card • Confident with manual handling and load securing Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
