Join our team: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Cape May County, New Jersey. On a typical shift you will tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel. Ideal candidate: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work 3+ years on the tools preferred.
