Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes Day-to-day duties: • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions Part-time with flexible hours.
