Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot Day-to-day duties: • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements Part-time with flexible hours.
