Vacancy available: we are hiring a halal butcher in Linn County, Kansas. You will work at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required Day to day you will run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking.
