Vacancy available: TIG welder (Tennessee)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a TIG welder in Houston County, Tennessee. Your main tasks: • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool You should have: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Full-time with occasional weekends. $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
