Steel fixer • Kaugama, Jigawa State

Now hiring: we are hiring a steel fixer in Kaugama, Jigawa State. The job is at a rebar fabrication workshop. Day to day you will tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings. You should have: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
