Lift mechanic — Otsego County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a lift mechanic in Otsego County, New York. You will work in a machine room on the rooftop. The role involves: • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables • Test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake • Service the traction motor, brake and gearbox • Run load and overload tests with test weights • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work Part-time with flexible hours.
