GMAW welder wanted in Hancock County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Hancock County, Illinois. You should have: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently The role involves: • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration We offer $11,500 per project plus benefits.
