Urgent requirement: we are hiring a garment presser in Mahaska County, Iowa. You will work at a textile finishing unit. Ideal candidate: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases Day-to-day duties: • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Give each garment a final press before packing At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
