Foundry worker wanted in Essex

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry worker in Essex, England. You will work at a busy iron foundry. On the job you will handle: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes Requirements: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around £2,750 per month, based on your experience. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
