Immediate opening: turning centre operator (Indiana)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a turning centre operator in Warrick County, Indiana. You will be based at a busy machine shop. Day-to-day duties: • Read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances • Deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand • Write and edit G-code programs at the control • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish • Watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear Requirements: • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
