Urgent requirement: safety officer (Gombe State)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a safety officer in Nafada, Gombe State. You will be based at an oil and gas facility. Ideal candidate: • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training Day-to-day duties: • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task 3+ years on the tools preferred.
