Immediate opening: we are hiring a cnc lathe operator in City of Richmond, Virginia. You will be based in a precision engineering workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Write and edit G-code programs at the control • Run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles • Set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54) • Set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets • Run first-off inspection and sign off the part • Top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed What we are looking for: • Minimum 2 years on CNC lathes with Fanuc or Siemens controls • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. $4,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
