Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Kiowa County, Kansas. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage Your main tasks: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through 1+ years on the tools preferred.
