Sample machinist wanted in City and Borough of Wrangell

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sample machinist in City and Borough of Wrangell, Alaska. You will be based at a knitwear stitching unit. On a typical shift you will inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift. Ideal candidate: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
