Vacancy available: we are hiring a machine operator in Emmet County, Michigan. You will work in a textile mill. Ideal candidate: • Able to stand for long hours on the shop floor • Good attention to detail and steady hands • ITI or diploma in fitter or machinist trade an advantage Day-to-day duties: • Measure parts with vernier calliper, micrometer and go/no-go gauges • Load raw material and feed stock into the machine hopper • Record output, scrap and downtime on the production sheet • Key in cycle parameters such as speed, feed rate and temperature • Change tooling, dies and moulds during product changeovers • Segregate finished parts into bins and label the batches Rotating shifts.
