Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Shelby County, Texas. Your main tasks: • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position What we are looking for: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
