Immediate opening: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Dodge County, Wisconsin. The job is in a steel fabrication yard. You will carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites $3,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
