Urgent requirement: we are hiring a panel welder in Tillamook County, Oregon. The job is at a steel fabrication workshop. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Your main tasks: • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
