Vertical milling machine operator — District of Rutland

Now hiring: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in District of Rutland, England. The job is in a CNC machining unit. On a typical shift you will set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm; carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance; set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines; keep in-process inspection records and log production counts; apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed. Ideal candidate: • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
