Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Davis County, Iowa. The job is at a busy production line. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test Day-to-day duties: • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing 1+ years on the tools preferred. $5,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
