Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon welder in Roanoke County, Virginia. You will be based at a busy sheet-metal workshop. On the job you will handle: • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges You should have: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Full-time, day shift.
