Great opportunity: we are hiring a garment presser in Lafayette Parish, Louisiana. You will be based in a tailoring workshop. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment On the job you will handle: • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments Six days a week, one day off.
