Now hiring: we are hiring a long-haul driver in Hutchinson County, Texas. The job is on long-haul routes across the country. The role involves carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks before setting off; keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load; check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits; secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars; reverse and carry out blind-side manoeuvres at loading bays; couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for long hours behind the wheel • Valid digital tachograph card • Good knowledge of driving-hours and tachograph rules $3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
