Steel fixer wanted in New Hanover County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a steel fixer in New Hanover County, North Carolina. The job is at a rebar fabrication workshop. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) Your main tasks: • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Pay around $3,500 per month, based on your experience. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
