Tailor machinist — Saguache County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Saguache County, Colorado. You will be based in a textile and apparel unit. Day to day you will inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line. You should have: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
