Pipe tig welder • Scott County, Indiana

We are recruiting: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Scott County, Indiana. You will be based on an industrial construction site. The role involves: • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle You should have: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings 2+ years on the tools preferred.
