Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry worker in Catahoula Parish, Louisiana. You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts The role involves mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
