Urgent requirement: fabricator-welder (Iowa)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Madison County, Iowa. Ideal candidate: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection On a typical shift you will clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. We offer $3,800 per month plus benefits. Share your details and we will call you back.
