Pipe tig welder wanted in Grenada County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Grenada County, Mississippi. Day-to-day duties: • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator Requirements: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
